Description
I coated this piece in more glaze than you “should” then fired it vertically to allow the glazes to run down and run together. I also fired this to a hotter tempurature and that caused the clay to sag slightly giving it a softer shape and feel.
This piece was done as we were adopting our foster daughter. She carries so many burdens and past traumas. But she survived and is now thriving. She emminates “grace” (her middle name, meaning “unmerited favor”) even in times of struggle. So I titled this piece Eminence in honor of her spirit.
